I was subscribed to package 5....and let it lapse. Now while I'm taking a course i want to do simuated trading until I get a better grasp of Sierra Chart and Trading in general. I was under the impression that I could do this without subscribing to a package with sim data until I was ready to pick up a paying subscription again... I've read the forums, did the google searches and even used AI...all different answers and none seem to work. Is this possible or have I misunderstood. Thanks for taking a look...any helpful links or current documentaion would be extremely helpful

“…It will not be able to connect to any external Data or Trading service in this mode…” I’ve seen that page and others….my question boils down to this……are there any internal data or trading services this connects to for practice or whatever else one would want to use it for…using dummy data, old data, worthless data……my understanding was that it could do that in free mode…did I misunderstand??? |

You can not get any new data into a system in "Free Mode" (i.e. an expired account). You do have access to the data you already have, and you can use this in Replay mode. But that is all. If you are wanting to have access to some kind of data, then you would need to be on one of the "Base" packages, which is one of the intentions of these packages - to be able to pay a little less and have access to our Delayed Streaming Data without being able to get real-time data or connect to trading services.
