Hello. 2 questions. 1. How can I copy a Dom template from a sub instance into my main instance and open it in the main instance. Can i copy Global Graphic settings between instances? 2. I have compressed my NQ Dom to 2 ticks. is it possible to to get the Pull stack and current trades to also compress to 2 ticks as well? if not that would be a good feature to allow that. have attached screen shot. 3. feature request. it would be a great space saving help to be able to flip the trade window to horizontal and be able to place it above the Dom instead of vertical next to it. Thank you |

The way to do this would be to have the Global Graphics Settings as you want them, and then apply them to an individual chart by using the option in "Chart >> Graphics Settings - Chart" for "Copy from Global". Then disable the option on that window for "Use Global Graphics Settings Instead of These Settings", as this will then have the chart setup to use those chart specific graphics settings. Then save the Chartbook that has that chart in it and exit from the two Sierra Chart intances involved in this process. Then copy the Chartbook from the instance with the chart setup as you want in it to the instance where you want that setup. The chartbooks are located in the 'Data' folder under the main Sierra Chart installation folder and have a file extension of .cht. Start Sierra Chart again and in the destination instance open the chartbook you copied. You can then use the "Chart >> Graphics Settings - Chart >> Copy to Global" to get those graphics settings to the Global Graphics Settings for that instance. 2. I have compressed my NQ Dom to 2 ticks. is it possible to to get the Pull stack and current trades to also compress to 2 ticks as well? if not that would be a good feature to allow that. have attached screen shot.
We do not know how you compressed the DOM. You should do this using the option of "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth >> Market Depth Combine Increment in Ticks". Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Market Depth Combine Increment in Ticks (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth menu) Then you can set the option for "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth >> Apply Combine Incrmement in Ticks to Other Market Data Columns" to "Yes" to have that apply to all the columns in the DOM. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Apply Combine Increment in Ticks to Other Market Data Columns (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Market Depth menu) 3. feature request. it would be a great space saving help to be able to flip the trade window to horizontal and be able to place it above the Dom instead of vertical next to it.
Our long-term goal is to have the Control Bar be able to do all the tasks of the Trade Window, so you can set it up as you want it. Most of the functionality is already there, so you can probably do most, if not all, of what you want with the current implementation. When setting up the Control Bar, look at the section for "Special Items" at the bottom of the list for a few of the items you may want. Thank you. I'll get into it all this weekend. though i just tried using the combine increment. and its not looking right. what am i doing wrong? before i changed the tick size in symbol to 0.500000 from 0.2500000 and that worked but your suggested way looks like image. for clarity i only have it on 0.25 now. also, so i can solve over weekend. i use current trade size on doms but when i did change the tick size in symbol i noticed the dom auto switched to recent not current. is there a way to solve this. its partly why i was asking about global graphic settings. i cant for the life of me find the right graphic setting to show a histogram on the current trades.. have a great weekend thank you |

We do not understand what is incorrect about the image you show where you have the "Combine Increment in Ticks" set to 2. This looks correct to us. also, so i can solve over weekend. i use current trade size on doms but when i did change the tick size in symbol i noticed the dom auto switched to recent not current. is there a way to solve this. its partly why i was asking about global graphic settings. i cant for the life of me find the right graphic setting to show a histogram on the current trades..
Are you stating that the columns changed when you changed the tick size? This is not possible. What exactly occurred? To turn on the profiles for a column, refer to the following: Global Trade Settings Windows: Show Volume Bars (Trade >> Customize Chart/Trade DOM Columns) how can i turn off the background on labels. i dont have that on all of them again. tried everything i can see. image attached.
Labels associated with subgraphs have an option for "Reverse Colors". This changes whether the label is displayed with a background or not. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

1st Q. see 2 images attached of dom. the one with gaps between prices is set to 2 ticks in combined increment. the other is when i change tick size to 0.50 in symbol. the symbol way works so all good but you're saying it should work the combined way? 2nd Q. yes that's what i'm saying. im duplicating a dom with current bid/ask. with no compression. changing the symbol tick size to 0.50 and when i apply settings it changes to recent bid/ask instead. i did not notice before. the image i sent you in first post asking about matching tick size to compressed dom was an example. had changed to recent not current. i will upload a video of me doing this in a bit. have tried a few times. its definitely happening. 3rd. DOH! Thanks. |

1. Yes, there is a difference in how the Profiles are displayed when you change the Tick Size versus the Combine Increment in Ticks. This is something that we have noted already as a Feature Request, so that the profile when using Combine Increment in Ticks will fill in the full area for the prices that are covered. But we can not say when we can get to any particular request. We do recommend using the "Combine Increment in Ticks" rather than changing the Tick Size, but if you do change the Tick Size, then you need to ensure that you have other things set correctly to compensate for this, such as the "Currency Value per Tick". If you do change the Tick Size, then you can set the "Combine Increment in Ticks" to "1" to get what you want for the Market Depth and other columns. 2. This should definitely not be occurring. Are you going to "Trade >> Customize Chart/Trade DOM Columns and seeing that they are actually different columns listed there? Or is this based on something you are seeing in the DOM itself?
