Having a Lot of Performance Issues Lately

Admittedly I have quite a bit running on SC. I have a second instance dedicated to my Numbers Bars charts and they have a lot of studies running. And this instance is what I'm inquiring about fixing. However, I never thought SC was slow until recently. My DOM will stall and not update quickly. Prices don't update quickly. It's very annoying. It's amazing that if I go to Chart --> Recalculate (Ctrl + Insert) it magically fixes my performance issues. But that only works for about 2-3 minutes then I have to do it again. I find myself constantly hitting Ctrl + Insert every 30 seconds now just make sure my Numbers Bars Charts, and DOM are running smoothly. The DD (Data Delay) on my chart header shows anywhere from 00.00.00.050 - 00:00:00.270 So, I know things are running much slower than they should be. Is there something I can do, a setting somewhere, that would automatically do whatever the Recalculate function does? Doing that fixes the performance issues immediately. I've gone through the SC support files and done everything related to performance that I want to do. I want to keep tick accuracy to 1 tick, I don't want to reduce that. My Chart update Intervals in Milliseconds are 50 Quote Board update interval is: 100 Quote Board High/Low timeout time in seconds is 30 Max Interval Delay in milliseconds is 4000 If interested in my computer specs: I'm only running Sierra and a web browser on this machine: AMD Ryzen 9750X (usually running at no more than 5% according to Task Manager) AMD Radeon RX 6700XT (Always running about 55% according to Task Manager) 128 GB RAM Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-10-13 15:01:09

We do not know why this would be the case: It's amazing that if I go to Chart --> Recalculate (Ctrl + Insert) it magically fixes my performance issues. But that only works for about 2-3 minutes then I have to do it again. I find myself constantly hitting Ctrl + Insert every 30 seconds now just make sure my Numbers Bars Charts, and DOM are running smoothly. First thing is to run Sierra Chart in Safe Mode: Sierra Chart - Software Login Instructions: Using Safe Mode Also refer to: Chart Trading and the Chart DOM: Improving Performance Of Chart / Trade DOM For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

It's a work around but for now I'm running the study: Chart Recalculation-Periodic, set to 45 seconds and that has my charts running fine.

This makes no sense. Something is very wrong. Are you using any custom studies.

We would expect when you stop using those studies, the problem will be solved.
