Hello Sierra Chart Support Team,
I am writing to report a sudden issue with a limitation on the number of open orders I can place on my Trading Evaluator simulated account.
Sierra Chart Version: 2800
Operating System: Windows 11
For the past few days, I have been unable to have more than 5 orders (including working/pending orders) open at the same time. If I try to place a 6th order, it gets rejected.
This is a recent problem. Previously, about two weeks ago, I was able to place up to 14 orders simultaneously without any issues. I want to emphasize that I have not changed any of my settings in Sierra Chart during this time. I have attached a screenshot of my current Trading Evaluator service settings for your reference.
I am trading micro contracts (like MES) and my simulated account balance appears to be more than sufficient, so I do not believe this is a margin issue. The limitation seems to be on the specific number of orders, not the overall position size.
I am not sure what is causing this issue, whether it is a recent change in Sierra Chart or a setting I might have inadvertently changed myself. My current account balance was sufficient for a higher number of orders before. Please let me know what, if anything, I can change on my end to restore the ability to use more than 5 orders at a time.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
Best regards

When you try to place an order and it gets rejected, then look at your "Trade >> Trade Service Log" as it should state in there the exact issue. If you want to post your Trade Service Log to this thread for us to analyze, then follow these instructions:

Thank you very much for the quick response.
I wanted to follow up and let you know that I have managed to solve the problem. The issue was with the setting: Trade account monitor/ account name/ Manage/Edit Trade Account/Main/>margin Settings and "Use Percent of Required Margin (%)"
I don't fully understand how this setting works or why it was set to 100%, but after I changed the value to 10%, everything has returned to normal and the order limit issue is gone.
Thank you again for your time and assistance.
Best regards,
