Hi,
I set alerts from the quote board. A window pops up when an alert is triggered. To change the alert I go to Edit on the window. I click on Edit, nothing happens. However do I fix it?
Is there one place where I can see all the alerts I have manually set. Alert Manager is not helpful because I have a large number of studies based on automatic alerts. Alert Manager shows everything and it is not practical to find alerts I have manually set.

We see that the option for "Edit >> Edit Alert" on the Alert Pop-Up window does not function. We will look into this.

As to the Alerts that you enter on the Quote Board, these are "Symbol Alerts". You can view all of the entered "Symbol Alerts" on the "Window >> Alert Manager" by selecting the tab for "Symbol Alerts". You can then manage/modify them there.

If you are wanting to know where ALL alerts that have been set reside, then this does not exist. There is not a way to know if an alert has been set on a study, for instance, unless that alert actually goes true and then is listed in the Alerts Manager. Otherwise, you would just have to know where they are.

We have passed this along to Engineering to look into. We do not know how long it will take for them to look it over and figure out what to do.

We could not find any problems with this. You first need to select an alert line in the Alert Pop-up window.

And then it must be a Symbol or Time alert to be able to edit it. No other type of alert can be edited.

Hi,
I do exactly what you said. I have been a long time user of sc and using this feature for a long time. It is only recently that it has stopped working reliably. Sometimes it works, other times it dies not work. I have tried but have not been able to pin it down why it is unreliable now after working well for years.

Update Sierra Chart to the latest release, and then that has logging in the Window >> Message Log, if an alert cannot be edited.
