This was all resolved at the end of October, so the current release has this fixed. Keep in mind, the main issue originally, was that the specific line in the Alert Pop-Up needs to be selected first, then selecting "Edit >> Edit Alert" will actually edit the particular alert. If you select an entry that is not a "Symbol" or "Time" alert, and try to edit it, you will get a message in the "Message Log" stating this.
