I recently tried to rename a chartbook and somehow ended deleting the chartbook. Anyways, the issue that Im having is that I created a new chartbook but every time I close the app, I lose all lines and tools I had added to do my technical analysis. When I open the app this specific chartbook (NQ Charts) doesn't open automatically like the other chartbooks. I have to go to file open and open it from there but I get all clean charts again with any lines and tools that I had previously added lost. please help and thanks in advanced

With regards to automatically opening the chartbook, refer to the following and the item below it:
General Settings Window: Open Files On Startup (Global Settings >> General Settings >> General >> Startup)

With regards to losing drawings, this should not occur.

The first thing to check is that you are properly saving the chartbook after you make the changes. Be sure to select "File >> Save" or that you select Save when you close Sierra Chart (if you are prompted to do so). Refer to the following and the item below it:
General Settings Window: Display Save All Option on Exit (Global Settings >> General Settings >> GUI >> Application GUI)

Another thing to check is that you have enough drive space so that the chartbook is being properly saved.

If not the above, then please add a few drawings to a chart and then get us the chartbook and let us know what we should be looking for. Refer to the following for how to get us a chartbook:
Support Board Posting Information: Attaching a File (Optional)

Another item that could be occurring is that you are not properly opening the new chartbook, but keep opening a different chartbook that does not have the changes you made. Do not use the "Recent Files" option, but rather open the Chartbook using "File >> Open Chartbook". If this resolves it, then clear your "Recent Files" list and then should be OK moving forward.
