I submit order into IBKR through Sierra. I have been trying to render the NDX chart in the Sierra - finally I got it working. I use this symbol "NDX-IND-NASDAQ" and getting the chart just fine now. Can you suggest whether it is the right symbol setting? For SPX and VIX though I use SPX-IND-CBOE and VIX-IND-CBOE Please advise. |

You are setup to get the following data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed: - CME with Market Depth for Non-Professional Trading Accounts - U.S. Equities Consolidated Tape. If you are trading U.S. Equities with Interactive Brokers through Sierra Chart, then you need to enter the main symbol (Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol) as the actual ticker for the equity (such as "IBM" (no quotes)) and then enter the symbol as Interactive Brokers needs it in the "Trade and Current Quote Symbol". Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Trade and Current Quote Symbol (text box) (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol menu) You do not need to do this for the CME Group futures, as the symbol translation is handled by Sierra Chart internally. We mention this to make sure you are aware, but also to point out that we do not know the exact format that Interactive Brokers wants for the various items. We have some information on this at the following link, but it is not something we keep up, so it could be different. You really need to check with Interactive Brokers for the symbol to use for Interactive Brokers data and trading.
