Hi Sierra Team, I have three sub instances that were all updating fine until I switched the Main Instance's Current Selected Service from Teton CME Routing to Trading Evaluator - Delayed. The Main Instance's chart bars seem to be updating fine, the Sub Instance's chart bars and DOM load and remain static, only updating when I Reconnect the Sub. Sub Instance's Current Selected Service is Read Only and is set to "DTC - Sub Instance." I followed the link below and got stuck at 3.4.1 - Chart Has Some Data Displayed Intraday Chart or Chart Bars Not Updating | Blank Intraday Chart | "Currently no data to display" message for Intraday Chart: 3.2 - Invalid Symbol or Invalid Data/Trading Service Selected I've attached three screenshots of what my Current Quote Window looks like. 1. The Main Instance's Current Quote Window while in Trading Evaluator - Delayed mode 2. The Main Instance's Current Quote Window while in Teton CME Routing mode 3. The Sub Instance's Current Quote Window while in Trading Evaluator - Delayed mode Apart from the Sub Instance's chart bars updating, I am concerned that the Main Instance's Current Quote Window doesn't look like the example in the link while in Teton CME Routing mode (see 2. screenshot). Is this a permission's issue with my broker? I was wanting to do some simulated trading, and had planned to use your Simulated Trading Service. I could always use the Trade Simulation Mode instead (across the Main and Sub Instances, since I then avoid this issue by not have to change the Current Selected Service), but I'm no wondering if I have something set up wrong. Thanks so much, PhilipJames |

We are not certain what is going on exactly. To start with, when you change the Main Instance's "Current Selected Service" if you do not exit from the sub-instances and start them again, then you will need to update the symbols, as the sub-instance will not do this automatically. To do this, select "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service". Once you have the correct symbols in the main instance and in the sub-instances, then if there is still a problem with your Quote Board, then please get us an image of the entire quote board. We can not understand what is occurring from the snippet of the board that you gave with the previous images. We need to see the entire window. Hi John, The screenshots of the Current Quote Windows I sent provide all the information that is available, ie. the only data I can see on the Current Quote Window is the "Daily Price Chg." The Daily Price Chg value is updating. Unless the other text color is somehow set to Black, there is no other information in the Current Quote Window. Thankfully the Sub Instance's chart bars/DOMs are working fine now. I had selected "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service" several times previously, and it hadn't worked. Your suggestion to exit the sub-instances seems to have worked though. That being said the sub-instances' Current Quote Window still looks the same as the screenshot I sent earlier. Thanks so much! |

Sorry, we were thinking it was a "Quote Board" and therefore we did not think it was the entire window. We see that it is the "Current Quote Window", which makes more sense with what is showing. The implication is that the color of the text has been set to be "Black", the same as the background. Refer to the following setting that changes the color of the text in that window and make sure it is not set to black: https://www.sierrachart.com/ChartValuesWindowDefaultTextColor For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

All sorted now, and sorry for waisting your time. For anyone else who gets stuck on this see below. Fix 1, Sub Instance Chart Bars not updating when Main Instance is in Trading Evaluator Mode: Exit out of the Sub Instances, open them again. To quote the English tv show, The IT Crowd, "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" Fix 2, blank Current Quote Window: Change the Global (or Chart) Graphics Settings to differ from the background color. Settings are called "Chart Values Window Default Text Color" and "Chart Values Window Default Background Color" Thanks so much John and the Sierra Team! |

"Is it plugged in" is my personal favorite. Doesn't apply as much today with everything integrated and running on battery, and really doesn't apply to Sierra Chart, but I've had to say that one plenty of times in the past.
