Setting Daily Loss Limit etc.

Hi John, I have set a daily loss limit but it's not working. I have carried out the following;

Trade > Trade account monitor balances window > Select my live account (I just have 1).
Manage > Edit Trade Account

I have set criteria under

Profit Management
Profit Management: Trail Daily Net Profit
Loss Management
Flatten Positions at time

When I select update, I expected the "Read Only Values" to display some of these "rules".

It doesn't appear to have worked. Have I missed something?

PS - I have nothing set up under Trade > Global Profit/Loss Management

That option does not work for live trading accounts. It only applies to the "Simulated Futures Trading Service".

The only option for setting limits for a live account within Sierra Chart is to use the "Global Profit/Loss Management" tool in the core software.
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

I am currently having this same issue using Teton / AMP where the instructions said to 'for Live Trading...' with Teton but I cannot get anything to update or work so I assume the documentation may be out of date. It says, under New Trade Account

Area of confusion:
"For live trading this needs to be set to Teton [exchange name] Futures Order Routing"

To confirm, for Teton Routing/Denali Datafeed with AMP we are to use the Global Profit/Loss Management function found on the Trade Menu Item in SC? This is managed in SC client-side not on the Teton Routing Server?

We are not certain what items you are referring to where it states "For live trading this needs to be set to Teton CME Futures Order Routing".

As to the Profit/Loss Management, the items when editing a Teton account do not apply. We had to stop allowing that option due to exchange rules on how the data is used. But since those items do apply with the "Simulated Futures Trading Service", they will continue to show up for a Teton account.

The only option within Sierra Chart for Profit/Loss Management is the option for "Trade >> Global Profit/Loss Management". This is "client-side" and managed by your local Sierra Chart software.
