Hi,

I'm trying to copy around 500k lines of data from a spreadsheet study Sierra chart sheet into excel (I prefer to work in excel for analysis). However, using simple select all & copy only results in the first 65,536 lines copying. I'm guessing this might be some kind of clipboard limitation?
What would you suggest is the best way to copy large amounts of data out of the sierra chart spreadsheets?
I cannot actually open the sierra chart spreadsheet in Excel - it just looks like gibberish - guessing the formats are incompatible?

Small follow up.
I'm trying to copy it out piecemeal, but actually, selecting any data past row 65,536 in the sierra chart spreadsheet, results in no data copying at all.

Are you using the version of Sierra Chart with New Spreadsheets or Old Spreadsheets. We cannot help with a problem like this in the Old Spreadsheets any longer.

Anyway, aside from that, the best way to do you want is to select File >> Save As. Set the File Type to Text to save it as a text file and open it in Excel.

I'm not actually sure which version I have. Is there an easy way to check?

Do you see tabs along the bottom of the Spreadsheet window to switch among the different Sheets? Or do you see a list box at the top left to select a particular Sheet.

This is the Old Spreadsheets.

Use the Save As method described previously to save the spreadsheet as a text file. And then open it in excel. This should work fine. If not let us know.
