Order Allocation to Accounts Won't Allocate Properly

I've been using this feature for quite a while with no previous issues. However, this morning, I have Apex/Rithimc accounts ending in -05, -07, ..54. No matter what combination of the 3 I use as primary, order allocation will not allocate to -05, unless that's the account selected in the drop down list on the trade window of the chart. When -05 is selected in the chart, I can select ..54, and it appears selected in the Order Allocation window, but when I look at the orders entered, 54 is not used. -05 and -07 are. I can find no combination where I can trade with -05 and 54. Any combination appears to require -07. I was running 2771, updated to 2773 and still the issue persists. Is there a config file I should manually inspect? |

First thing is, follow the instructions here and make sure that the Order Allocation to Trade Accounts is configured properly through the Trade Window from the chart you are trading from: Order Allocation to Trade Accounts You must configure it on the Trade Window for the chart you are trading from. Trade Activity Log shows no orders submitted for Acct:-05. The Chart Trading Dom is set to trade Account#..54 and Order Allocation to Accounts shows Acct-05 and Acct-07 as on to the list of accounts to which orders should be assigned. I expect orders to be placed on all 3 accounts simultaneously. They are not. -05 is ignored. If I change the chart to trade on -05, it submits orders with -05 and -07. If I set the chart to trade 54 and 07 it trades 54 and 07. If I set the chart to trade 54 and 05 it trades 54 and 07. If I set the chart to trade 07 and 05 it trades 07 only. Order Allocation is ignoring -05 in all scenarios and substituting -07 when -05 is on the list (and -07 is not). I can trade -05 directly on the chart. I can not trade -05 via allocation, tho I can trade either of the other 2 account. This is all observed in the Trade Activity Window as well. |

It appears that when using Linking, you must have "Order Allocation to Trade Accounts Include in Linking" set to "Yes". Seems odd to me, but so be it. |

Without understanding exactly what you are doing, and without seeing and verifying ourselves what the settings are in the Order Allocation to Trade Accounts settings window for the Trade window you are trading from, at the time you are submitting order and without seeing the order confirmation, we have no idea what is going on in your case. It is essential to enable order confirmations. So you can see the list of accounts the order will be sent to. In general we would have to say you are doing something wrong or misunderstanding something. We have no clear comprehension of this, without a full surrounding understanding: It appears that when using Linking, you must have "Order Allocation to Trade Accounts Include in Linking" set to "Yes".
If you are relying on Chart Linking to update the Order Allocation to Trade Accounts window, when you are changing allocation settings in a different chart you are trading from, that yes it does need to be on. This is a good example of a thread, where we really just simply do not know what else to say without doing a remote assistance session.
