Hi,

I'm having an issue with Order Allocation to Trade Accounts not saving.

I HAVE disabled the "Disable Order Allocation...." in the Global Settings.

I have several Trade Configs set up in my Chart. I enable Order Allocation to trade accts and enable Save Trade Account Config.

It works perfectly UNTIL I switch to a different Trade Config and then go back to the original one. both Order Allocation to Trade accts AND the Save Trade Account
config are now Disabled. I'm not closing or even switching to a different chartbook. Just switching from one config to another creates this "turning it off"

I've also tried doing both Yes and NO in the "Include in Linking" and it does the same thing.

Thanks!

On the Order Allocation to Trade Account Settings window, make certain that the following setting it set to "Yes":
Order Allocation to Trade Accounts: Order Allocation to Trade Accounts Include in Save Trade Window Configuration

Then make certain that the option for "Order Allocation to Trade Accounts Enabled" is set to "Yes" and that the allocations as you want them is established.

Then select to close the Order Allocation to Trade Account Settings and re-save your Trade Configuration as you want it. This will save the state of the Order Allocation as you have it setup in that trade configuration. Save other trade configurations as needed. Be sure that if you open an older trade configuration that you re-select the options above to ensure they are set properly before saving again.

Hi,

I've done exactly as you suggest above, but still not saving. I even closed all other chartbooks,
and these are the only 2 charts open. Same chart on each just the account that I want to copy to
is different. And again, just switching to another config and switching back disables the order allocation
and the Save Trade acct in Config

Thanks

Please get us the configuration files that you have saved. These will have the extension of .twconfig and are located in the 'Data' folder under your main Sierra Chart installation folder. Follow these instructions to attach the files:

Here you go, John
There are about 24 config files in all so I just uploaded 2.
Thanks very much!

We are not able to reproduce what you are stating. With these configurations, we are not seeing anything stored in terms of the Order Allocation to Trade Accounts.

We want to point out that the settings for "Order Allocation to Trade Accounts Include in Linking" and "Order Allocation to Trade Accounts Include in Save Trade Window Configuration" are global. So when you activate these, they apply to all Trade Windows. This also means that if you turn it off in a trade window, then this will impact all trade windows.

The other thing is that the option for "Order Allocation to Trade Accounts Enable" is not saved with the trade configuration. This is completely separate and must be turned on for each chart, if it is disabled by default.

Hopefully given the above, you can figure out what is occurring with your setup. We think you have some items a bit confused, and also make sure that after you make changes to the order allocation setup that you then save the configuration, as nothing will be stored if you do not save it.
