I am setting several alerts. Most of them seem to work as expected but one in particular keeps triggering immediately. It's the 6JU25, I'm setting an alert for when the Low is Below or Equal to 0.70025 Comparison Precision is 0.00001 (the default) I'm on an hourly chart and it's still quite far away but the alert is triggered immediately after creation. |

Please get us an image of the alert settings for that alert so we can take a look at how it is setup.

ok I see why now. I'm using a Symbol Alert and that uses the Current Quote data. Alerts Manager: Add Symbol Alert I wonder what is the best way to set an alert using intraday data for triggers. I've tried Drawing Alerts but I don't like that they are not visible centrally in the Alert Manager. I'm aware of Chart >> Chart Settings >> Alert but I'd rather select the condition with GUI than type the condition syntax. Are these my only 2 options? |

I will try with Symbol Alert but using Last instead of Low.

You are correct, the data for the Symbol Alert is coming from the Current Quote data, so the "Low" is going to be a fixed value, for the most part. In this case, it must have been below your value. Using the Last will work, if that is what you want. You have found the only options for creating alerts - Symbol Alert, Drawing Alert, or the Simple Alerts.
