I'm using a 36 tick standard range bar on symbol MESU_25 & at 15:13:46 a new bar starts and then another new bar starts after after 10 ticks (6244 low - 6246.50 high) at 15:15:00. I've never seen this before. Is there a reason this would have happened? |

It sounds like you have your Session Times set to have a start at 15:15:00 for a session along with the "New Bar At Session Start" option. I was just about to make a similar post. I also had the exact same issue today using range bar chart at this time. My session times are correct and yet the chart is still showing a completed range bar for less than the amount of required ticks of range bar.. A new range bar starts after the incomplete range bar closing. Something is definitely wrong.. Using same intraday chart with same session times that I always use with my range bar chart, and I have the exact same issue at same time as the user above that made this post. I use intraday chart with no evening session selected and intraday session from 17:00:00 to 15:59:59. Same settings that I have used forever with no issues before. Incorrect range bars effect my automated trading strategy. the correct amount of ticks for the range bar completion (per range bar settings) is not happening at that time. Please advise as to what caused this issue today at that time with Sierra Chart. |
