Hello all, As I'm testing out SC, I'm now finally at the simulated trading stage (to get a feel for it before purchasing) However, I don't see - market orders on Trade Orders window (I can see limit/stop orders but they disappear after a while as well). Note: No filter is applied - nothing is ever show on "Trade Positions" window. Note: No filter is applied However, I know it is working as - the "Show Order Fills" work - "Trade Activity Log" shows them under "Trade Activity" BUT under "Trades"/"Statistics", nothing is there This simulated trading is done with Market Replay (I also have cleared data prior to replay and session times are consistent) |

The Market order should be showing in the Trade Positions window by default, although it will show as "Filled". Check to ensure that the option for "Orders >> Show Only Working Orders" is not selected. With regards to the "Trade Position" window, simulated orders do not show in this window. Yup, I can see the market orders now However, I see that these orders all disappear after a while if they had been cancelled/filled. I have ensured that the "Show only Working Orders" is unchecked. Also, I'm not sure if this question needs to have its own separate thread. I had this same exact problem: SIM orders auto cancelled (expired based on Time in Force}. However, I decicded to do a Fast Update first followed by "Clear Trade Simulation Orders and Data" and the problem seems to be gone. Do you have any idea why? |

If the order is filled, then it is no longer an order and will be removed from the Trade Orders Window. If it is something else, then let us know. Also refer to the information at the following link: Trading Information Windows: Trade Orders Window I had this same exact problem: SIM orders auto cancelled (expired based on Time in Force}.
As noted in that thread, if the "Time in Force" is not correctly, then you will have this occur. Set your "Time in Force" to "Good til Cancelled" for the most control on your end. But you may also want to consider using "Day", if you are not planning on holding positions overnight. Refer to the following: Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Main >> TimeInForce (Time in Force): Attached Orders: Time In Force For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thank you, I missed this: When the Status of an order changes from Open or Order Sent to Canceled, Filled or Error, it will still be listed on this tab, but it is not persistent and will be cleared when Sierra Chart is restarted
As for Time in Force, I purposely did not use "GTC" as I thought "Time In Force" set to "Day" (this was the default) was sufficent. Just to reiterate, I don't have this issue anymore after doing the below (I have not changed anything and "Time In Force" is still set to the default "Day"): However, I decicded to do a Fast Update first followed by "Clear Trade Simulation Orders and Data" and the problem seems to be gone.
With that said, I don't think the "Fast Update" did anything as I had updated a couple of days ago already. I'll create a separate thread for this if I can reproduce this issue in my simulated trading. |

Updating should NOT change the Time in Force. We work hard to ensure that updates do not change the existing behaviors. Once in awhile we miss something, but there has not been anything changing in relation to Time in Force lately anyway. Let us know if you do find something. We do not know why you would have the issue, unless you were holding a position overnight with the Time in Force set to Day.
