Large Wicks On Stock Charts

Is there a way to fix the large wicks I occasionally see on stock charts?

For example in MULN-NQTV yesterday there is a candle wick at $300, but the high of day was actually around $27.

Now I'm unable to look at the chart today because everything else looks so small in comparison, the rest of the candles are too small to see.

This is the data as we get it from the exchange. We do not know why they are sending us this kind of information, and we do not want to change/filter it since it is proper data from them.

Usually this is seen at the end of the day, and the easiest solution in that case is to change the Session Times to exclude the last minute or so of the day to not have that bar.

Otherwise, you would have to try and find the particular trade that caused that spike in the data and remove/adjust it. Refer to the following:
Intraday Data Editor: Basic Instructions

In this case, though, it is occurring in the middle of the day, which is not something we typically see. As such, we want you to try to redownload the data from just before that bar. Follow the instructions at the following link:

Thank you, redownloading the data did not fix the issue but by using the Intraday Data Editor I was able to remove the trade that caused the spike and it looks better now.

However, I'm still seeing other wicks that look incorrect on the intraday chart, roughly around 5-10 of them.

I've included an image of the 1 second chart showing this issue.

Is there any other way to fix this perhaps? Using the Intraday Data Editor seems great for fixing one-off wicks, but it would be too time consuming to do it for multiple wicks on multiple charts throughout the trading day.

There are a few posts on this on the Support Board making the request.

The issue is that we do not like to filter data, and this is the data that the exchange is sending to us. So we do not want to make changes to the raw data that we are getting. Therefore, we have not made any changes for this.

Would it be possible to include a setting and allow the user to filter the data for themselves if they choose to?

You could even leave the setting "off" by default, so that the majority of users receive the raw data like normal.

SierraChart is the best platform I've found, but the large wicks on the candles like this make it difficult to trade at times, even though the data is "technically correct."

Having the same issue in WBUY today unfortunately.

There are around 100 trade records in the exported intraday data file saying that price dropped from $7.80 to $6.00 in the span of a second. (Screenshots attached.)

As such, the solution to "find the trade that caused the spike and remove it" isn't really working for me, as it would require me to delete 100+ trades.

Sorry to repost to this thread, but are there any other solutions for quickly fixing this issue? Or are there any future plans to address this?

This is what we see for the symbol on a one minute chart:

There is nothing wrong! The premise, that there is some kind of erroneous data is completely false. The data is fine.

There is nothing you need to do. There is nothing to fix. And we are definitively not going to respond further.
