I recently copied a chartbook onto a new copy of sierra chart and have been having problems with the downloading of historical and intraday data. I use the sierra chart data feed. The most current date that I have is 9-15 when i should have 10-1. Today in the morning everything was okay then i tried changing the # nummbers of days to show and all of the charts went back to only showing data through 9-18. I tried reloading data, closing the chart, deleting and reloading data and nothing seems to work.IT says downloadng historical data but nothing happens. Please help me fix this. Thank you for your help.

We see you do have active on your account, the Sierra Chart Real-time and Historical Exchange Data Feed.

However, in Sierra Chart you have the Service set to "Barchart". This is not correct. You will not be able to access the data that way.

You also have activated the CME Group exchange which requires that you are connected to a trading account to access the real-time data.

What data feed am i suppose to connect to. I signed up through you and it said the data was from bar chart, barchart also gave me a password and username when I called them. I use IB so I will connect that account. I just put sierra on a new computer.

You need to connect your Interactive Brokers account. Follow the set up instructions here beginning with step 11:

Problem #1:
I am trying to connect my IB trading account to sierra chart. I followed the instructions but it is having a problem with the auto login and wont connect until I manually start the TWS platform.

Problem #2:
I purchased the data feed through you, I am assuming its called "SC Exhange data" becuase I want tick level data for the number bars study, I also payed for the exchange fees through your website. However When i enter " SC Exhange data" it says symbol is unknown and click for symbol information. I click ES?##/ E-mini S&P 500- GBLX and then i click the ESZ14. However the data is not live and only update if I disconnect and re-connect. I can get live data if I use the barchart service as they supplied me with a password because that is the data that I thought you guys use. (is that correct?)

Additional questions: Do i need to run 2 copies of sierra chart to use IB and your data and share then share the data from you for use with the IB connected trading account

1. You do have to manually start Trader Workstation. This makes sense.

2. You need to connect your Interactive Brokers account and use the Interactive Broker symbols. Here are the instructions:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/IB.php#SetupInstructions

The Sierra Chart data feed is not the Barchart data feed. They are different.

3. No. The integration is automatic with interactive Brokers.
