Hi I wonder if you can help me.

I have read the instruction on importing intraday data over and over.

I have successfully imported 1min intraday MESM25 data, the data goes back 15years (well I used ES data but I am happy with that) and is in the format as below:

Symbol, Date, Time, Open, High, Low, Close, Volume
MESM25.CME, 2005-09-06, 16:33, 1234.25, 1234.50, 1234.25, 1234.25, 98, 0
MESM25.CME, 2005-09-06, 16:34, 1234.50, 1234.75, 1234.25, 1234.50, 423, 0
MESM25.CME, 2005-09-06, 16:35, 1234.50, 1234.50, 1234.25, 1234.50, 131, 0
MESM25.CME, 2005-09-06, 16:36, 1234.25, 1234.50, 1234.25, 1234.25, 274, 0
MESM25.CME, 2005-09-06, 16:37, 1234.25, 1234.50, 1234.25, 1234.50, 46, 0
MESM25.CME, 2005-09-06, 16:38, 1234.25, 1234.25, 1234.25, 1234.25, 20, 0

When I click Intraday Data Editor, I can see the data has successfully imported.

What symbol shall I import the data in is, I did read the current contract was fine, is this the case?

Why Will the chart only plot back to the start of May 2025, when I have selected to plot 1000 days back using intraday data?

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Cheers

We are not understanding this question. If you have already imported the data, then you will have it under whatever symbol it was imported as. In general, the symbol is going to be the name of the file that you are importing.

Why Will the chart only plot back to the start of May 2025, when I have selected to plot 1000 days back using intraday data?

We are not sure why this would be the case. Make sure the data was actually loaded for the 15 years and that the "Date Range in File From/To" are showing the correct dates for the data you imported.

Did you import the data into an existing symbol (such as MESM25.CME)?

Hi John, thanks for your help.

Yes I am trying to import the data into an existing symbol, MESM25-CME.
If I import using a random name such as MiniESM25 it works fine, but when I am using an existing symbol it wont display all the data.

In chart settings it says 'data range in file' 2005-09-06
If I try and select 2005-09-06 in ' Load data limiting Method: Date Range From' - it is defaulting to 2025-05-03

Is the any issue with importing years of continuous futures data onto the current existing symbol such as MESM25-CME?

We see you are on a trial. As such, we are surprised you were able to get this to work at all, as you are limited in the data you can use while on a trial. And the reason you can only view 10 days of data when you use the MESM25-CME symbol is due to the trial limitation. Refer to the following:
