Post From: .DLY files not able to be joined manually

I have had repeated problems using "Open Historical Chart" to select a file such as ESM16 just for example (I have had this problem with many other files also)and opening it to a blank chartbook and then using "Find Symbol" to download the next current file such as ESU16, then opening it also in MS Notepad and using Notepad to copy and paste a few lines of ESU16 to the end of ESM16 then deleting ESU16 and pasting all of ESM16 to ESU16. This was my way of manually building a long historical file. This way I felt I could build up a longer daily file. I have been doing this successfully for years and it always seemed to work for me, now all I get is the little round circle going around and around to infinity, and I have to close Sierra Chart as a "non-responding" program with Microsoft trying to find out a "solution to the problem". What's worse, when I try to access the apparently corrupted file again it can't be used at all(round circle again) and if I try to open any chartbook with that particular symbol in the chartbook it fails to load making it impossible to use the chartbook ever again. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - Rick
