Well if it is not an easy calculation or too time-consuming to change the diagonal delta display from a double ladder format to a single ladder, then I think I might have an alternative solution to my problem that is much easier on the eye - please see image below. We can focus on the background coloring method logic instead of focusing on the type of text output displayed. I was able to selectively color the positive diagonal deltas green on the "ask" column side of the double ladder and the negative diagonal deltas red on the "bid" column side by selecting a text color (black in this instance) that disappears into the chart background and then choosing "ask bid vol difference diagonal" for the "numbers bar text", "background on dominant side" for the "background type", and "diagonal dominant side" for the "background coloring method". So now all that is left to do is for a programmer to add a new "background coloring method" option that is "based on askvol bidvol DIAGONAL difference percentage" and voila! I hope this sounds more reasonable now. Thanks.
