Converting from Old Spreadsheets to New Spreadsheets is not necessarily trouble-free. It will require some work on your part. It is not a completely automatic process. And sometimes the conversion of an Old Spreadsheet file to a New Spreadsheet file can fail.

The best approach is to install a new copy of Sierra Chart in a different folder and in your available time gradually migrate to New Spreadsheets and just start with New Spreadsheet files.

More information can be found here:
Differences Between New Spreadsheets and Old Spreadsheets

I downloaded the newer version and it totally screwed up my Spreadsheet with links, fonts and color setup I had.
Yes, this is true. These properties will not copy over. Although we do not know what you mean by "links".

I can't even setup links from one sheet to the data sheet. Before I would type "=" and link to another sheet. Now I can't do that.
Refer to:

The spreadsheet I had saved comes up with all types of column misalignments.
We do not understand this.

That is two weeks of work now lost even with the saved file.
The original Old Spreadsheet files still remain and are intact.
