Most of the retail trading robots don't do this and that is a small trading market. Scalping bots are not what this conversation is about. Let's simplify this with a car comparison. M$: medium engine power, poor fuel economy, high pollution, bad design that's supposed to fit all, breaks down a lot, medium initial investment (often repeated) with high maintenance costs. unix: high engine power, excellent fuel economy, low pollution, multiple designs for multiple needs, works out of the box, low initial investment (open source variants) with low maintenance costs. Which would you rather pay for out of your own wallet? There's nothing puristic about it.
