I chart Intraday and Historical charts for a given instrument - both are Continuous Contract basis. For Intraday charts my Chart Settings are set to only load 70 days of data. I never do back testing and never do market replays. Can I safely delete old .scid files that are not used to form the current continuous futures contract by going into the SC data folder in Windows and deleting the file? Eg for the ES the current front month is the June contract and I am assuming SC is using the March and June contracts to form the continuous contract for June. So could I delete the December 2015 and earlier .scid files? Or maybe to be safe the September 2015 file and earlier? Thanks |
