There are times where we are not going to make support easy and shift the burden to the user and encourage them to determine the problem on their own. This is to the benefit of everybody.

This is usually not the case but based upon the kinds of questions being asked, we may have to put the burden on the user. This is not related to the original question, but it is in response to this where this is not always the right response:
A proper response would be something in the lines of "please describe the problem in more detail and we will do our best to help".
