1) is there a specific reason for this? Too difficult implementation, too much time needed? I can work around it, I guess, by using a target very very far away. Still I think it needs to be implemented at some point. Having to rely on our own internet connection or not being able to switch to Sim/close the program is not a dependable solution. 2) I understand some of the reasoning for not supporting this, but not all of it makes sense. You say: "Sierra Chart does not support the use of server modified trailing stop orders because the functionality available from the Trading service cannot support all of the needed trailing stop and move to breakeven functionality that Sierra Chart has." But I'm not asking for anything complex at all, no break even solution, no special trailing solution. I just want a simple TRAIL stop in TWS, that follows the market. Nothing fancy whatsoever. I am sure that you could implement this extremely quickly if you wanted, so I do not have to rely on ib`s excel solution to submit simple trailing orders. |
