It sounds as though the main Sierra Chart configuration file was deleted for some reason. Also this is an indication that you were running a significantly older version of Sierra Chart and that you had updated: was on the left, where before it had been on the right and one row lower than the bar with all the buttons, etc.
Sierra Chart does not update itself. It requires that the user manually does this through the Help menu.
