I only need the ohlc and volume in three lines of data for each different time base to study 2- and 3-bar combinations. The graphics are unimportant. The quote sheet was only an example of a possible structure and the only one I thought of as an example. If it is confusing, then please excuse. I am certainly grateful for anybodys help. Please also understand, I have only a limited understanding of the possibilities of the functionality of sierra charts spreadsheets and at the moment I understand there is only one way to get the type of data I need which is by having a spreadsheet from each individual chart which has a different time base. This though results in consuming too much memory from the program itself. I need the spreadsheet to allow me to change the base time like in the chart settings as well as the symbol. It is sort of like a quote sheet which you input the symbol and get the last quote, but in this case I am calling up the last two lines of database data as well as the current. Eg. see below. I used the same numbers for ease of purpose, but what is important is the structure and time bases. Symbol Base Time # of Trades CL 00:00:00 2584 Date Time Open High Low Close Volume # of Trades 2016-02-05 4087,25 4092,75 4086,75 4089,25 1527 1067 2016-02-05 4079,50 4087,25 4075,75 4087,25 3209 2584 2016-02-05 4088,25 4088,75 4077,50 4079,25 3269 2584 Symbol Base Time # of Trades CL 01:00:00 2584 Date Time Open High Low Close Volume # of Trades 2016-02-05 4087,25 4092,75 4086,75 4089,25 1527 1067 2016-02-05 4079,50 4087,25 4075,75 4087,25 3209 2584 2016-02-05 4088,25 4088,75 4077,50 4079,25 3269 2584 Symbol Base Time # of Trades CL 02:00:00 2584 Date Time Open High Low Close Volume # of Trades 2016-02-05 4087,25 4092,75 4086,75 4089,25 1527 1067 2016-02-05 4079,50 4087,25 4075,75 4087,25 3209 2584 2016-02-05 4088,25 4088,75 4077,50 4079,25 3269 2584 I monitor 23 possible trading vehicles. I would need as many charts as I would like to have different time bases. Certainly I would keep the days to load down to a minimum such as 5 for an example and depending on the chart itself. |
