We checked with CQG, and the version of the protocol buffer interface file is not going to matter. So in other words, being that the latest versions of Sierra Chart use the newest version of the protocol buffer interface file, it does not matter. So if you notice a difference with one Sierra Chart version compared to another, it is only coincidental especially when it comes to lost connections.
