that specific scenario will wear on the CPU and RAM, not the HDD or SDD. only time HDD and SDD is used is for storing and retrieving data (saving and opening files/applications). it looks like the sierra data files are saved on the disks, but the files are so small they are measured in KB so that is nothing to worry about. what kind of computer are you looking at?
