When you open a chart for a AAPL and do not use the CFD symbol, does the chart update in real-time without any problem? There is no need to close the charts and Chartbooks. The absolute most you would need to possibly do is select File >> Disconnect and File >> Connect to Data Feed if there is a problem with the Interactive Brokers data feed. This is all.
