The most likely explanation is that range bars are manipulated bars and they do not represent 100% accurate price movement. You need to be aware of this. The Numbers Bars study will reveal all of the prices traded at within a particular chart column without the manipulation. We would suspect that once you remove the Numbers Bars study from the chart, the Range bars will not exceed your setting.
