jivetrader, thanks for your comments, but as I mentioned it does not solve my problem because I can not manage the drawing from any chart. the only way I can see to accomplish this is to use the same chart for all timeframes, but then I am constantly having to switch Study Collections every time I change the timeframe of the chart.

I think the main difficulty for me is that in SC, a drawing seems to be associated with a 'Chart', whereas in all other software I am used to, a drawing is associated with a 'Symbol' and there is no concept of which chart owns the drawing and which are just copies. This makes it much easier to manage drawings.

If there is no way to accomplish this in SC right now, I would definitely like to submit this as a feature request if possible, and also the ability to, for a specific Chart (or even as a global default), assign a specific Study Collection to a specific timeframe.

One use case for this is as follows: If I have say a 40 period moving average on my weekly chart, and then I switch to the daily timeframe, if I want to see the same moving average, then it now has to be a 200 period moving average in order for it to be the same line. Since the MA is different, it requires a different Study Collection. Likewise some indicators may be appropriate for smaller timeframes but may be irrelevant on the longer timeframes so having the study Collection switch automatically would allow the user to customize this however they need.

SC Engineering, what are your thoughts?
