Hello Sierra Chart Support, I am experiencing intermittent real-time market data delays (10 seconds to several minutes) and repeated connection failures when using Sierra Chart with Lucid Trading Rithmic Direct-DTC. Connection settings: - Sierra Chart version: 2920 - Service: Rithmic Direct - DTC [trading] - Server: LucidTrading-Chicago Area-Non-Aggregated - Host: rsc.rithmic.com - Port: 50569 - Symbol: NQZ6.CME Issue observed: Sierra Chart repeatedly attempts to connect to `208.97.247.100:50569` and fails with Windows error 10061 (Connection Refused). Network tests: DNS resolution returns three IP addresses: | IP Address | TCP Port 50569 | |---|---| | 208.97.247.100 | Failed | | 38.65.210.70 | Successful | | 184.105.22.231 | Not yet tested | I repeated the TCP tests using both my home Wi-Fi and mobile hotspot, with identical results. Additional verification: - R|Trader Pro connects and receives market data normally. - R|Trader Pro was not running while using Sierra Chart. - All Rithmic agreements have been signed. - Sierra Chart connection settings match Lucid Trading's official instructions. - Re-entering the connection credentials and reconnecting did not resolve the problem. - Lucid Trading confirmed no data-feed issue on their side and advised contacting Sierra Chart regarding DTC connectivity. Questions: 1. Why does Sierra Chart repeatedly attempt the connection to 208.97.247.100 when another IP returned by the same hostname accepts TCP connections? 2. Does Sierra Chart's Rithmic Direct-DTC connection automatically retry alternative DNS IP addresses when the first connection fails? 3. Is there a supported configuration change, software update, or diagnostic procedure that could resolve this issue? I would appreciate your assistance in determining whether this is related to Sierra Chart's Rithmic DTC connection handling or a problem that requires further investigation by Rithmic. Thank you. |
