We acknowledge that there were two outstanding issues with the MDI functionality that have now been resolved in version 2936 and higher: Solved two different problems with the state of MDI (Multiple Document Interface) windows (Chart, Spreadsheet, Quote Board) which are part of the main Sierra Chart window. The state of them may not have been saved or restored correctly.
Minimized windows may not have stayed minimized when reopening a Chartbook. This is resolved. The reason for this problem had to do with saving a Chartbook when it is not visible. This was a scenario that was never tested or considered. The Z-Order of the windows also may not have been restored correctly when reopening a Chartbook or switching between loaded Chartbooks. This issue is also now resolved. If you have been holding off updating higher than Sierra Chart Version 2813 because you have had problems with the new MDI functionality, please know that these issues are now resolved. You should no longer have any further problems. And also it will be required anyway for you to update by December 1, 2026. More on that later.
