Subject: Service Request – Issues with HVN/LVN display and Volume by Price text

Hello Sierra Chart Support,

I am experiencing difficulties regarding the configuration and visualization of the Volume by Price (VbP) study, and I would like your help in identifying and fixing the issue.

The specific points are:

HVN/LVN (High Volume Nodes / Low Volume Nodes)
Even with the options enabled in the VbP study, the HVN and LVN levels do not appear consistently on the chart.
I have already checked parameters such as:

Draw Peaks & Valleys

Peaks & Valleys Sensitivity

Value Area, POC, Peaks & Valley Based on Total Volume; however, HVN/LVN are still not displayed or appear irregularly.

In-chart text – “Display Volumes in Bars”
The "Display Volume in Bars" option (e.g., Total Volume, Bid Volume, Ask Volume) is enabled, but the text does not appear inside the Volume Profile bars.
I have tested:

Volume Text Threshold

Display Volume Text Within View

Align Volume Numbers to Volume Bar Base

Volume Bars Draw Method
Even so, the text is not displayed.

Request for guidance – I would like to know:

What are the recommended settings to ensure HVN/LVN are displayed correctly?

Which parameters directly influence the display of text inside the Volume Profile bars?

If there are any known bugs related to these options.


I can send the Chartbook or additional screenshots if necessary.
