From your images you have the "Control Bar Background" set to "Black" and your control bar background is actually black. So we are not sure what exactly you are trying to change, or what the issue is. Please let us know what color you are trying to change so we can point you to the proper item. The "Control Bar Background" is the color of the control bar where the buttons are NOT displayed.
