Post From: Getting accurate info for MES but not ES

A few items of note:
- Your session times are different between the two charts. You would need these to have exactly the same Regular Trading Hours (day session) times for proper comparison.
- We do not know what your Global Time Zone is set to, but one chart has the Time Zone set to "Chicago" and the other uses the Global Time Zone. So if the Global Time Zone is not Chicago, then this will also change the underlying data.

But, having said this, we checked what we get from the "Volume Value Area Lines" study, setup exactly as you have it (i.e. we saved a Study Collection from your study and applied it to our own charts) and we see the following values showing in today's lines (i.e. the previous day's day session Point of Control):
- ES M 2026 contract: 7387.75
- MES M 2026 Contract: 7365.00

So there is a differences in the Point of Control values between ES and MES. As we originally stated, these are two different contracts with different volumes and prices. They trend together, but they are not exactly the same. So you should NOT expect to have the exact same point of control.

Also, we added our Volume by Price study to the charts and set it to have day only profiles. Looking at the Point of Control from that study gave the exact same values as the Volume by Price study.

We have absolutely no reason to believe our calculations are incorrect for these studies.

What you are seeing is normal.
