When you have this issue - in the Trading DOM, what is the option under "Chart >> Tools" set to? Also, when this occurs - if you left click in the Trading DOM does the crosshair actually show/hide as you expect? Or is it not doing anything? Keep in mind, the Trading DOM has a limited set of tools available - you will see the list under "Chart >> Tools" for the Trading DOM itself. What should occur for the setup you have, is that if you select a tool that is not supported by the Trading DOM, then the Trading DOM will stay in the last mode it was set to. Once you select a tool that is common between both Charts and Trading DOMs, then the tool options will update in both locations.
