This is resolved in prerelease version 2883: We have had 2 users report a problem where a MDI child chart window, or maybe it was a spreadsheet window, or both, when hidden, when switching Chartbooks, do not actually hide.
We have seen an issue today, related to a spreadsheet, where it should be hiding but it is not. We are fairly sure, quite sure, we are hiding the window through the operating system, but the operating system is not really hiding it. We are going to get a good understanding of this, and see exactly where the problem is. It would seem to be at the operating system level. But we probably could implement a workaround once we have a better understanding of it. We should have a solution this week. Also in post #60, it said 22 users. We meant 2 users. This was a data transmission error. And this was not an operating system issue. It was an unusual window state issue specific to spreadsheets. This may also resolve the problem with charts that the two users had, but we are not sure. Not sure how that issue could arise with charts when switching Chartbooks.
