Attached are three ladders so you can compare. The ES (left) works just fine. All orders hitting the book appear in the far right column at the current price and you can see the orders continuously going through as they are being filled. (The light red and green bar) Obviously this is good to see so I can see if any size hits the book and act accordingly. This is great and the ES shows this at all times. If you look at the NQ (Middle) the ladder only shows the orders that are hitting on the whole numbers and if the market is trading between the whole prices it does not show anything. The colored bar that is there simply goes black. If you put a time and sales next to it you can see the orders going through the market at prices other than the whole numbers but ( red and green bar in the VbP column) on the ladder is blank (disappears) . So I am missing orders going through the book that are not on the whole price ie: 25333.25,25333.50,25333.75 - then when price hits 25334.00 it shows the orders, but only on the .00 prices. ( It's blinking ) not continuous. It should just move equally as the current price bar in the center of the ladder as it does on the ES ladder. Does that make since ? For some reason, by combining the ticks makes the orders disappear. The ladder on the right which is the NQ (Not combined) works fine as well. Continuous orders. But when the tics are combined the orders are not shown. The problem is the Volume at price and the depth is unreadable without combining the orders. |
