Valid perspective @User150671. tl;dr This reminds me of the "mystery meat navigation" (you can search for it) dilemma. Design decisions I guess are what interactions can be done with a mouse, keyboard, mouse only, keyboard only. I'll bet a high percentage of users have never ever pressed "ctrl+spacebar" for example to open a system menu, nor ctrl+p to print. Not really wanting this thread to devolve into a usability discussion. My main point was if a user gets themselves into a state where a detached window was maximized by accident, what steps must that person perform to restore (no pun intended) the window back to its previous state. This issue does not affect me personally; just thought it a possible edge case to consider worked as intended. I will defer to Sierra to make whatever design choices they deem appropriate here (and most likely bow out of the conversation). |
