Post From: Feature Request: Native On-Chart UI Widgets (Sliders/Buttons) for Interactive Studies

Hello,

I am developing a custom ACSIL study that requires a high-speed, interactive workflow. My goal is to adjust parameters to see results update in real-time.

Currently, the workflow is bottlenecked because I must open the Study Settings window for every minor adjustment. This modal window blocks interaction with the chart until closed.

I would like to request the following ACSIL capabilities:

1. Interactive On-Chart Controls (WPF-style Widgets): Is it possible to add native UI elements - specifically Sliders, Spin Buttons, or Checkboxes — directly onto the chart surface (or a docked study panel) that link directly to Study Inputs? The purpose is to adjust an input value via a slider and trigger an immediate recalculation without opening the Settings window.

2. Is there a more direct/efficient ACSIL function to implementing a "Drag-to-Select" tool that returns Start/End Bar Indices to the study immediately upon mouse release?

3. Non-Modal Settings Window: Is there a way to keep the Study Settings window open while interacting with the chart and seeing updates apply in real-time without clicking "Apply"?

This functionality would significantly enhance the capability of custom interactive tools in Sierra Chart.

Thanks a lot.
