Yes, technically the RTH session (and the week) for the main products traded on the CME Group at 15:59:59 Central US time. But again, Sierra Chart does not look at the world this way. The internal mechanisms work by looking at the timestamps of the trades. So when 16:00:00 comes around and there are no trades, the system does not know that it is 16:00:00. It just knows that there are no trades coming in. Until the next trade at 17:00:00 Central US Time occurs on Sunday evening, the system doesn't know anything about the actual time. Then, when that trade comes in, it recognizes the Session Times and starts a new period. And, if a chart is setup to only display the RTH (which is typically 08:30:00 Central US Time), the system is not going to recognize the start of a new period until that time occurs (Monday morning in this case).
