It sounds like you do not have any Chartbooks open. Select "File >> Open Chartbook" and open a specific chartbook and see if everything is fine.

It also sounds like you probably had the chartbooks opening automatically and they did not for some reason. If this is the case, then most likely it would be due to having deselected the option for "Open Files on Startup" in the Sierra Chart Login Window, or having enabled the option for "Safe Mode".

Also, you can check the following setting and the one below it to make sure you have chartbooks set to open automatically:
General Settings Window: Open Files On Startup (Global Settings >> General Settings >> General >> Startup)
