If you are opening two chartbooks in the same instance of Sierra Chart, then you will only be able to view one Chartbook at a time. The other chartbook is not closing, it is just not viewable. You can change between the currently active chartbook by the selecting the chartbook you want from the tabs of chartbooks, which is at the top of the main Sierra Chart graphics area, by default. If you want to have them both available at the same time, then there are a few options: - Do not use separate chartbooks. Use a single chartbook so you have all the charts available at one time. - Use a Sub-Instance to open a second chartbook. This will allow you to have two fully functional Sierra Chart instances running with one chartbook in each instance. Refer to the following: File Menu: New Instance (File) - Use a completely separate installation of Sierra Chart. This is very similar to the sub-instance, but if you use different trading accounts, then this would be a better option. Refer to the following: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart - If you just need a chart or two from the other chartbook, then you can set these charts to be "Always Available". Refer to the following: Window, CB and CW Menus: Window Always Visible (Window) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
