Possibly. To begin with, on the trial, you have limited data access. Refer to the following:
Sierra Chart Trial Account

So if the chartbook is for a symbol other than what you have access to, then the chart would be blank. You could change the symbol for the chart by following any of these options:
Changing the Symbol of a Chart

It is also possible (and highly probable) that the symbols that are setup in that chart are not what you need for the service you are connected to (which should be "SC Data"). Every service has a different symbology, so if the person from whom you received the chartbook is using a different service, then you would need to update the symbols by having the chartbook open and then selecting "Edit >> Translate Symbols to Current Service".
