We will add this to the documentation: The reason that Currency Value has to be used is because this is a common unit across symbols. In the case of when there are different symbols, even if they happen to be for the same futures market because there is not any determination internally of that, it is just simply mathematically wrong to be summing together Point or other type of values. They simply are different units because they represent a different unit of price since the Tick Sizes for each symbol are different.
No there is no workaround. And we are not going to undertake the effort to make a determination, that the same underlying symbol is being used.
