We had numerous reports, starting yesterday about some users, apparently all from Stone X, not able to connect to CQG.

Based on what was being said we misunderstood the problem. We completely misunderstood the reason for the problem. The thread that we previously posted, has now been hidden.

We thought that CQG was disabling access to Sierra Chart due to Sierra Chart using an older protocol version. This is not the case.

This is a very specific issue involving Stone X users due to how they connect to CQG.

And we ourselves would not disable access to CQG. No such decision has been made and it has been our position, no matter what we have said previously publicly, that support for CQG will remain. It is being maintained because it has broker independent access to EUREX, ICE (US and Europe) and other exchanges.

So support for CQG, is continuing to be maintained and we would not be doing anything ourselves to disable access.

We did have trouble updating to the latest protocol version from CQG. There were serious issues with that update, and it was deferred. We tried to do the update years ago but we had problems. The protocol version used by Sierra Chart is still supported by CQG. And it works just fine.

If we could update to the latest protocol version, without difficulty we would do that. It is not normally difficult to do.
