Historical Daily charts are not able to be replayed, which is why you saw this. Another option is to set the chart option for "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Chart Data Type" to "Intraday Chart Only". This way if you change it to 1 day, the chart will continue to use only the Intraday data, and you will not lose the synchronization in this case. Keep in mind that it does mean that you can not change the chart to use the historical daily data, if that is something you need.
